TotallyTA Community Code of Conduct
Welcome to TotallyTA! This is a community created exclusively for professionals in the Talent Acquisition (TA) world, whether you’re currently working in TA, in transition or exploring new opportunities in TA.
We’re here to connect, collaborate and grow as a collective.
To keep this community supportive, valuable and professional, we ask everyone to follow this Code of Conduct.
1. Eligibility

This community is only for TA professionals: recruiters, employer branding specialists, TA leaders or anyone involved in internal hiring strategies.

Recruitment agencies, RPO, Embedded Talent, TA vendors are welcome - you're all an important part of the TA process. However, please do not pitch and make sure you have signed up to the paid options. Otherwise your membership will be cancelled. Speak to Tom for more information.
2. Respect and Harassment

Treat every member with respect. Kindness is key.

Harassment, discrimination or abusive behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes but is not limited to:

Offensive comments regarding race, gender, sexual orientation, disability or other personal characteristics

Intimidation, bullying or targeted harassment

Sharing inappropriate or unsolicited content

If you experience or witness harassment, please report it to the TotallyTA admin team immediately.
3. Professional Communication

Keep all discussions professional and constructive. TotallyTA is a place for learning, sharing and supporting each other.

Overly self-promotional posts or spam

Inappropriate language or tone

Trolling, personal attacks or inflammatory comments

What to aim for:

Sharing insights, experiences and advice

Asking questions and starting thoughtful conversations

Encouraging others and celebrating successes

4. Collaboration Over Competition

TotallyTA thrives when we collaborate. This isn’t a space for competition or posturing. It’s for helping each other.

Be open to sharing ideas, resources and solutions. TA is challenging enough. Let’s make it easier together.
5. Keep It TA-Focused

All content, questions and discussions should be relevant to the Talent Acquisition world. Topics might include:

Recruitment challenges and strategies

Employer branding and candidate experience

Tools, technologies and trends in TA

Career growth and personal development within TA

6. Confidentiality
-
Respect the privacy of other members. What’s shared in the TotallyTA community stays in the community.

Do not share confidential company information, candidate data or sensitive discussions outside the group.
7. Moderation and Reporting

The TotallyTA admin team reserves the right to remove any content or member that violates this Code of Conduct.

If you see anything inappropriate or concerning, please report it directly to the admins.
8. Zero Tolerance for Pitching or Selling
-
TotallyTA is a pitch-free zone. It’s not a place for vendors, agencies or service providers to promote products or services. However, via our paid options you can run webinars and events. Speak to Tom about our paid partnership options.

Posts or messages that are overtly sales-focused will be removed.
What Happens If the Rules Aren’t Followed?
We take this Code of Conduct seriously. Violations may result in:

A warning from the admin team

Removal of inappropriate content
-
Suspension or permanent removal from the community
